Pokémon Infinite Fusion: A Cosmic Adventure

Introduction

Welcome to Pokémon Infinite Fusion, a fan-made game that allows players to fuse any two Pokémon together, creating unique and fascinating creatures. With over 170,000 possible combinations and more than 60,000 custom sprites crafted by the community, this game offers an incredible experience. In this playthrough, we’ll focus exclusively on Cosmic-themed fusions—Pokémon that have a connection to space and the cosmos.

The Journey Begins

Like every Pokémon game, our adventure begins with naming our rival. For some reason, I chose Billy. To ensure we stick to the Cosmic Fusion theme, I set our starter to Clefairy, which has numerous space-themed fusions. After every Gym battle, we’ll spin a wheel to add a space-themed Pokémon to our team.

Our rival, Billy, started with a double Pinsir fusion that turned into Mega Pinsir. Luckily, it had no stat changes, and we managed to win our first battle. After running an errand for Professor Oak and receiving our Pokédex and Poké Balls, the journey officially began.

Catching Pokémon and First Gym Battle

Since this run wasn’t a Nuzlocke, we caught every Pokémon possible, including Kecleon, Yanma, and a Graveler-Misdreavus fusion.

Brock’s Challenge

Brock, the first Gym Leader, had a Ground-type gym, making our Water-types an advantage. Before battling, we spun the wheel and added Starmie to the team. Experimenting with fusions, we combined Starmie and Mudkip into a cute purple Mudkip with a cosmic tail. However, I preferred a Koffing fusion, which looked like a floating cosmic cloud.

Brock’s first Pokémon was a terrifying Kingdra-Garchomp fusion with Dragon Rage, a move that always deals 40 HP damage. It quickly knocked out our first Pokémon. Fortunately, our Clefairy-Mareep fusion took it down with Sing and Double Slap. His second Pokémon, a Cubone-Shuppet fusion, finished us off in our first attempt.

In our second attempt, we led with Mareep, put Kingdra-Garchomp to sleep, and after a long battle, emerged victorious. With our first badge in hand, we spun the wheel and added Clefable to the team.

Randomized Encounters and Second Gym Battle

Since this run was randomized, we encountered Pokémon like Empoleon and Charizard early in the forest. We battled trainers using fusions like Zapdos-Luxray, making every encounter unpredictable.

Misty’s Gym

Misty’s gym was now Ghost-type, and we had to battle her Charizard-Litwick fusion before facing her. She used Ghost-type Eeveelutions and a ghostly Bug Pokémon, but our Butterfree fusion helped secure the win.

With another badge in hand, we spun the wheel and got another Clefairy, which we fused into a Clefairy-Gyarados hybrid that transformed into a moon-like cosmic serpent.

Team Rocket and Mysterious Triple Fusions

While exploring the caves, we discovered Team Rocket’s secret experiment—they were attempting triple Pokémon fusions using Moonstones. After battling Rocket Grunts and defeating their strange fusions, they managed to steal the Moonstones and escape, leaving us with unanswered questions.

At Nugget Bridge, we faced Billy again. Unfortunately, my game got corrupted, forcing a restart. Using tools to recover my Pokémon, I resumed the journey. Billy now had a Palkia-Infernape fusion, which took seven attempts to defeat. Eventually, we overcame his team, advancing further.

Erika’s Gym and the Fourth Badge

Upon reaching Celadon City, Erika asked for our help in fighting Team Rocket, who had set up a base in the sewers. Battling alongside her Dusclops-Wailord fusion, we fought through Rocket Grunts and reached Giovanni, who had a Dunsparce-Raikou fusion. After an intense battle, we defeated him, forcing Team Rocket to retreat.

With Erika’s gym now being Water-type, we challenged her and won our fourth badge.

Giovanni’s Final Plan: Legendary Bird Fusion

Team Rocket was spotted stealing a ship, prompting us to chase them across the ocean currents. At their secret location, we discovered Giovanni’s true plan—to fuse the legendary birds Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno into a terrifying three-headed monster: Zap-Mol-Cuno.

This fusion had three health bars, one for each head, and could attack three times per turn. The battle was intense:

  • Our Butterfree fusion weakened Articuno with Spatial Rend.
  • Zapdos accidentally hit Moltres, dealing massive damage.
  • Typhlosion fusion used Lava Plume, burning Articuno and eventually knocking out two heads.
  • Finally, our Reuniclus fusion defeated Zapdos, causing Giovanni to flee.

With Team Rocket’s plans foiled, we returned to earn our final Gym badges.

Elite Four and Champion Battle

With all eight badges, we faced the Elite Four and Champion Billy.

Lorelei (Fairy-type)

  • Palkia-Champion fusion carried the team, landing Hydro Pumps.
  • Clefable’s fusion used Gyro Ball to finish strong.

Bruno (Ice-type)

  • His Mamoswine-Persian fusion wreaked havoc, but Palachamp’s Hydro Pump secured the win.

Agatha (Grass-type)

  • Her Venusaur fusion and a wise-looking Blastoise (nicknamed Oogway) were tough.
  • Our World Tree Exeggutor fusion carried us to victory.

Lance (Steel-type)

  • Aerodactyl-Skarmory fusion and Scizor-Armaldo fusion were challenging.
  • With careful moves, we won.

Final Battle Against Billy

Billy’s team had fully evolved, making this the toughest battle:

  • Palachamp’s Hydro Pump countered his powerful starters.
  • Clefable-Golem fusion used Earthquake and Dig to wear down his defenses.
  • Reuniclus fusion landed the final blow, securing our place as Champion.

First Random Fusion: Bagel and Qwilfish?

Okay, not really Bagel, but Qwilfish looks hilarious in this fusion. It’s the expression that sells it. I love how some of these fusions turn out looking like creatures straight out of an edgy Pokémon creepypasta.

Experimenting with Legendary Fusions

I had to try fusing some Legendary Pokémon. My first attempt was Kyurem and Zekrom, which just resulted in Black Kyurem, as expected. But that didn’t stop me from experimenting with other Legendaries.

  • Arceus Fusion: Honestly, some of these turned out awful, but a few resembled the Primal forms from Legends: Arceus. Pretty cool!
  • Zygarde Fusion: Some combinations made it look like a genuinely well-designed Fakémon.

The Funniest Pokémon Fusions

Some Pokémon just work hilariously well in fusion experiments. Quagsire in particular always ends up looking goofy. I wasn’t expecting much from fusing it with others, but the results were golden.

  • Gigantamax Fusion Trick: I noticed that fusing two of the same Pokémon just results in their Gigantamax form. It was amusing to test this out with different Pokémon.
  • Crown Pokémon Fusion: Some Pokémon ended up wearing a “crown,” which looked both ridiculous and awesome.

Combining Pokémon with Badass Designs

When it comes to cool fusions, Aegislash has to be the MVP. It just blends seamlessly with so many different Pokémon.

  • Aegislash + Grimmsnarl – Looked like a true warrior.
  • Aegislash + Garchomp – This one was absolutely sick!
  • Fusion with Legendaries – Some turned out looking regal, while others were a complete mess.

The Ultimate Fusion Winner

Out of all the combinations, one stood out as absolute perfection. Some Pokémon just weren’t meant to fuse, but others? They created something truly legendary.

  • Reuniclus Fusion: One of the creepiest fusions I got, looking like something straight out of an experimental lab gone wrong.
  • Tyranitar Fusion: This one looked like an actual Ultimate Reality Pokémon.

 Conclusion

With this victory, we completed our Cosmic Fusion challenge in Pokémon Infinite Fusion! This run featured some of the most creative and visually stunning fusions ever seen.
